The HSR ordered four seperate shipments of the 'Classic' from 1985 - 1988. The first two orders of coaches were from General Motors, with fifteen buses being ordered in 1985 and another fifteen in 1986. In 1987 GMC sold the transit bus division to MCI. The HSR made two more orders of fifteen coaches, both of which were delivered in 1988.
