This model of bus was first delivered by New Flyer Industries and put into operation by the HSR in 2007. A total of five coaches were ordered. Powered by diesel-electric hybrid technology, these buses were the first Hybrid coaches ordered by the HSR along with the New Flyer DE60LFR. The DE41LF is a hybrid model of the D40LF and C40LF.
