EASTGATE TERMINAL

The Eastgate Terminal is located at the Eastgate Square Shopping Centre at the corner of Queenston Rd and Centennial Pkwy in Hamilton. A total of five routes loop at this terminal.
In the summer of 2007 Eastgate Square reconstructed their southeast parking lot, and as such the City of Hamilton and Eastgate Square relocated the Eastgate Terminal. The new terminal is located south of its previous position and just north of Queenston Rd between Kenora and Centennial. A new signalzied intersection was installed on Queenston Road to facilitate bus, pedestrian and other vehicle entrance into the terminal. In addition a covered walkway from the terminal and the mall will also be constructed.
UPDATE: As of Jun 18th, 2007 - construction of the new terminal is underway.
UPDATE: As of Aug 18th, 2007 - grading and paving complete.
UPDATE: As of Sep 30th, 2007 - landscaping done and new signals installed.
UPDATE: As of Oct 17th, 2007 - terminal open
UPDATE: As of Dec 12th, 2007 - new platform; walkway constructed
