  • MACNAB TRANSIT TERMINAL
  • The MacNab Terminal is located on MacNab St S between King St W and Main St W in Hamilton. The terminal is currently home to nine 'mountain' routes.

On June 28th, 2009 all routes that used the MacNab Terminal were relocated, with routes 1, 2 and 3 being rerouted to terminate at the Hamilton GO Centre. Routes 4, 8 and 9 were routed along Bay St N instead of using the terminal.

On October 16, 2009 MacNab St S was partially closed off and construction on the new termial began.

As of March 2010 construction was behind schedule with the new planned launch date set for Labour Day with the implimentation of the fall schedules.

Several proposed variations on the construction, can be found on the City of Hamilton's website. The below drawing shows a the final layout for the new terminal.

The terminal was rebuilt and re-opened Sunday January 2nd, 2011. At that time the 'Upper' routes, which terminated at Gore Park, were relocated to the new MacNab Terminal. The passenger services building, which features rest rooms and a climate controlled waiting area, was not completed at the terminal's opening. As of February 10th the building is still a 'work in progress.'
